Lucas nominates Soweto Old Age Home as Betway extends commitment to communities amidst COVID-19 Pandemic
As a response to the COVID-19 national lockdown, Betway remained committed to making a difference in local communities.
As a continued effort to make a difference with their #BetwayCares initiatives and having proven to be market leaders in community upliftment, on and off the sporting fields in South Africa, they once again prioritised to continue to work, interact, and play their part in society.
In solidarity with the communities they operate in, they committed to contribute R 2-million across different worthy charitable organisation to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic and its related challenges.
As a Betway ambassador Lucas was given the opportunity to nominate a community organisation.
Lucas selected the Soweto Home for the Aged, an organisation that Lucas visited with Betway over the festive season last year to donate food parcels. Lucas had also previously visited the Home with his family as part of a personal initiative to give back.
The funds will support the food relief efforts and other supplies that may be needed by the Home as well as the other orgaisations selected.
